WordPress: a website or blog, with thousands of themes and plugins. It's a WordPress site with secure settings from the start.
What it makes
A WordPress site, with 512 MB of memory and half a processor: the limits it runs well with, changeable like any app's. See limits.
A MySQL database, made and connected by itself.
A free address with HTTPS, and the project's backups, with a first one as soon as it's ready.
Install it
Asha wants WordPress in her project duka.
Open the project. On its Overview, under Add a service, choose From the catalog.
Search for WordPress, or pick it under its category, then choose Install.
Give it an App name, like
site, and type the Admin email you'll log in with.Check its limits and the monthly estimate, then choose Install.
A strong password is shown once. Copy it, then choose I've saved it. The app's card shows each step until Ready; until then nobody but you can reach it.
Its admin page
When it's ready, choose Open its admin page on its card: its address followed by /wp-admin/. Log in with your email and the password you saved, then:
Appearance → Themes: choose a theme.
Pages → Add New: write your first pages, then Settings → Reading to choose your home page.
Plugins → Add New: add what your site needs.
Updates
It's a WordPress site: WordPress keeps itself and its plugins up to date, as on any host, and the project's backups cover it. See WordPress.
Licence
WordPress and its plugins are made by their makers, not by us, and keep their own licence: GPL-2.0-or-later. Its website: wordpress.org.
