Refund policy
DraftIn short: When unspent money in your wallet, or a card payment made by mistake, comes back to your card, and what isn't refunded.
This is our draft, written from what Tanzahost really does. It isn't in force yet: it takes effect once our lawyer has approved it, and we'll show the date here.
How paying works
You pay for what you use: your saved card pays for it after it's used, and money you top up is used first. There's no subscription to cancel, so there's nothing to refund for a month you didn't use.
If your card paid for use that wasn't yours, or paid twice, tell us within 30 days and we refund it to that card, with a credit note.
Unspent money
Paid money you haven't spent is yours. Ask for it within 30 days of the top-up, and we refund it to the card that paid, never more than that top-up. After 30 days it stays in your wallet to use.
When you close your account, we refund the unspent paid money from top-ups of the last 30 days the same way.
Refunds take the time your bank takes, usually 5 to 10 working days. Each refund gets a credit note.
Not refunded
- Free credit: sign-up credit, coupons, referral credit and uptime credit.
- Use already made of your apps and services.
- A domain once it's registered, because the registry has it. If a registration fails, the money comes back to your wallet at once.
Our mistakes
If we charged you wrongly, we give it all back, as wallet credit or to your card, whichever you prefer. If we missed our uptime promise, you get wallet credit as the uptime and support policy says.
How to ask
Write to support@tanzahost.com or open a ticket in your dashboard, from the account's owner. Please write to us before disputing a payment with your bank: a dispute freezes the account until it's settled, and we can usually help faster.
